Darks Souls ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ brings new content to consoles

Back in April, when Namco announced Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, a PC version of Dark Souls with extra content included, there was no mention of whether or not that added content would be made available for consoles.

It now appears as if that new content will in fact make its way to consoles.  Namco announced today that the new areas, bosses, enemies, NPCs, and everything else the PC version is getting will be headed to PS3 and Xbox 360 with the Artorias of the Abyss expansion.

According to IGN it will be released "sometime this winter" in North America.  The Artorias of the Abyss expansion content will be available on Xbox LIVE for 1200 Microsoft Points and PlayStation Network for $14.99.

Meanwhile. for you PC fans still awaiting the game, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be available for PC on August 24 in North America through Steam and Games for Windows. Special retail versions of the Prepare to Die Edition will be available in Europe and Australia on August 24 for the PC version, and later this winter for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
