Today THQ stated that Darksiders II would arrive on August 14.
The game was initially planned for a June release, but unexplained delays kept it from meeting the proposed deadline. We previously heard that it would drop sometime in early fall.
Despite concerns over the publisher's financial standings, CEO Brian Farrell reported good news about the game's sales. Five times the number of preorders have been tallied for the game, as compared with the first Darksiders. THQ is also allotting twice the marketing budget.
Darksiders II will release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Developer Vigil Games has confirmed the game as a future launch title for the Wii U.
