In passing at E3, I got to briefly speak to one of the devs working on Disney Infinity 2.0. At the time, I was playing around on the Ratcatcher, Darkwing Duck's motorcycle and main mode of transportation that comes with a sidecar. It's one of the new power discs for the 2.0 Edition.
There's also a power disc for the Darkwing Duck grappling gun. But you know what's missing? Darkwing Duck the figure. That's right — you get his vehicle and his equipment, but not him.
I asked the dev why he's not an announced playable character yet, and he responded with "Darkwing Duck was this close (holds pointer and thumb very close together) to being in the game. I'm a big fan of the show and the character, so we'll see."
I'm going to guess that D.W. will eventually get in the game, and sooner rather than later. My guess is he'll be announced in the second wave of figures. Stay tuned later today for my hands-on with Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes, including what you can expect from the game in the future.
