I guess we know how the Empire is funded now… via credit union. When Emperor Palpatine isn't putting Vader in charge of overseeing the construction of the Death Star, or hunting down Luke Skywalker and the rebel scum, Vader is busy robbing banks — or credit unions in this case.
Police in North Carolina are looking for a man who robbed the Pineville State Employees Credit Union on Monday around 11:45 a.m. wearing what looks like the Darth Vader hoodie that zips up all the way to make it look like the chestplate and mask. According to police, the man dressed as Vader entered the bank with a long gun, demanded money from a bank teller, and got away with thousands of dollars in a four-door Chevrolet Suburban.
They describe him as a "about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and was wearing dark clothing, including the mask." Today, my geekiness pays off, because I'm doing better police work than the real police. The man isn't wearing dark clothes with a Darth Vader mask; he's clearly wearing this hoodie:
You can watch the news report below. And listen how the first anchor says 'costume.' COS-toom? Why so much emphasis? And stop calling it a mask! It's a hoodie!
If you have any information on the robbery or robber, you can contact Admiral Ackbar, Mon Mothma, or Princess Leia Organa of the Rebel Alliance.
