Turns out a Dugtrio with luscious locks is not the only surprise to arise from the Pokémon Sun and Moon demo. People much smarter than me have datamined the gameplay slice, essentially able to get a peak behind the curtain and put together bits of code to form a bigger picture. The result? Well, a ton of things. But firstly, these guys:
There we have the final evolutions for our starters, identicall to their concept art which was leaked months ago! Good news for Rowlet fans, as it seems the Pokémon gets a severe bad ass upgrade after going through their awkward teen stage.
The datamine also uncovered that there will be 8 Ultra Beasts in total, although granted you'll most likely need both Sun and Moon to catch them all, if you're able to catch them at all.

We'll also be receiving an Alolan Geodude, Graveler and Golem and Alolan Meowth's evolution into Persian is reminiscent of a certain other beloved feline that loves lasagna.

Thanks to one of the major dataminers, we know that the final Pokédex of the game will contain around 800 Pokémon, with the only pocket monsters unable to be viewed being the Totem Pokémon. And as a first for the series, it seems the legendaries will be getting some earlier evolutions.

The dataminers insist that there's still more information to be extracted from the demo, so be sure to bookmark this page as we'll update with more content as we discover it!
