Daylight out today for PS4 and PC

Zombie Studios' first-person horror game, Daylight, is available today for PlayStation 4 and PC. Unfortunately, it's probably not the reception ATLUS had been hoping for as the game has been receiving lackluster scores, averaging just a 56 on Metacritic.

Reviews aside, Daylight is a first-person survival-horror game set in an abandoned hospital. With only your cell phone available to light the way, you must explore Mid Island Hospital's dark past in an attempt to escape.

"Exits throughout areas of the hospital are sealed off with rune inscribed doors that can only be opened with unique relics," explains ATLUS. "Each relic ties into the facility’s dark past, but they will only appear once you’ve uncovered enough of Mid Island’s sadistic history."

What's more, Daylight consists of a procedurally generated world, meaning no two playthroughs will be alike. The game will analyze your playstyle and adapt the level design accordingly. Furthermore, should you choose to stream your gameplay on Twitch, viewers will be able actually interact with your game. By typing in keywords, viewers can actually affect the sights and sounds of your game.

To celebrate today's launch, Daylight will be on sale for just $9.59 for PS Plus subscribers ($11.99 for non-PS Plus) until May 13. After that, it'll return to its regular price of $14.99.
