[UPDATE: Sony responds] Days Gone, Uncharted, GT Sport and Last of US II PC port leaked

Sony has commented to IGN about the listings and said that “The listings are not accurate. We have made no announcements to bring these games to PC.” Whether this means there won’t be an official announcement in the future remains to be seen however.

An absurdly massive leak via the French Amazon website has possibly blown the lid about more PC ports for PlayStation 4 exclusive games. According to multiple website listing, Days Gone, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Gran Turismo Sport and The Last of Us Part II are coming to the PC.

I hope you don’t have any drinks or food currently in your mouth. Otherwise, you’ll be spitting it out in a large arc while screaming profanities. What reads like fan-fiction from platform warriors is actually true. Several of the most prominent PlayStation 4 exclusives are supposedly going to be ported for the PC.

Well, at least it is official in the sense that the games listed above have a real listing for a PC version on the French Amazon website. Neither Sony nor any of the developers have yet commented about the speculated truth of the listings. And unless they confirm it, these listing could very well end up being just technical errors on Amazon’s part. Such mistakes aren’t unheard of, so there is the possibility of this news becoming a large nothing-burger very soon.

Alongside the listings for the games listed above, Persona 5 Royal also got a listing for a PC port. This was very quickly refuted by SEGA officials, however, who stated that this was an error.

But then again, what are the chances that multiple PS4 games get PC store listings on the same exact date? And we’re not even going into the fact that Sony today is far from Sony from a few years back. The company has officially announced that Horizon Zero Dawn is getting a PC port after all. It would be very strange for Sony to just bring one single game from their large library of PlayStation exclusives. Company decisions like that usually are a sign of a large shift in company policy.

Just like it was the case with Microsoft who has openly embraced the PC gaming scene as a viable platform to release their first-party games day-and-date with their Xbox counterparts. In an age where gaming is ongoing changes unlike any before, it looks like the decade-old paradigm of console exclusives is making way for services and ecosystems. If the leaks turn out to be true, there won’t be any side losing, since PlayStation users will still be able to experience Sony’s stellar products on their system of choice.
