The CW has been building up quite the roster with their heroes and villains for their hit superhero shows — Arrow & Flash. The latest hero to be added is Vixen, played by Megalyn Echikunwoke, is set to make an appearance on the 15th episode of season 4 for Arrow.
Mari McCabe, who goes under the alias Vixen, obtains her power after inheriting her family's Tantu Totem, Mari can access the powers of animals—anything from the super-strength of a gorilla to the speed of a cheetah. As Vixen, she fights valiantly to protect the world from the threats like those that claimed her family.
"We're not only thrilled to be further expanding our DC television universe by bringing in the live-action incarnation of the CW Seed hit, Vixen, we're immensely excited that Megalyn will be revisiting her role as Mari McCabe," said Marc Guggenheim, executive producer of Arrow and Vixen.
Vixen, voiced by Megalyn Echikunwoke, has her own animated show on CW Seed, which both Stephen Amell (Green Arrow) and Grant Gustin (Flash) did VO for both their respected characters. Now with Vixen coming to the live action show, it is not known as of yet if the previous relationship that they built in the animated show will carry over or not.
Arrow will return to the CW on January 20th, 2016 every Wednesday at 8 pm EST.
