Dead Island 2, the latest installment in Deep Silver's first-person post-apocalyptic zombie series, isn't expected to release until later this year, a new report claims.
Noting the lack of communication and new information since the game's reveal back at E3 2014, Videogamer.com "understands" that Dead Island 2 "may have been pushed back as far as autumn." The website went on to note that despite the initial spring 2015 release window, the game's website now features a vague "2015" date, suggesting that Dead Island 2 has been delayed.
Following Videogamer.com's claim, Eurogamer Czech also reported that Dead Island 2 now has a release date in September, according to "internal sources."
As of right now, Deep Silver has yet to formally announce anything, so treat ths only as rumor. However, it is worrisome that we've yet to hear anything new about the highly anticipated game.
