The closed beta for Dead Island: Epidemic, Deep Silver's MOBA spin-off of Techland's first-person action game Dead Island, begins today.
Labeled as a ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena), Dead Island: Epidemic's core mode see three teams of four battling it out in a competition to grab supplies, hold key points, and blast through hordes of zombies. The game varies slightly from traditional MOBAs in that movement is handled with the WASD keys and there's no "last hitting."
"All you need to know is that you need to point your crosshairs towards anyone and anything not on your team," Deep Silver says.
If you're anxious to try out the new game, it's not too late. Sign-ups for the closed beta are still open; you can register here.
