Dead or Alive 5: The Last Round gets release date in Japan; Basic free version revealed

Japan will be getting in on Dead or Alive 5: The Last Round's jiggly fighting game early next year and that's only the beginning of the good news.

The Last Round is coming to Japan on February 19th, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 – with it there will be a more 'basic' version.

This 'basic' version will be a free version of The Last Round for the PS4 and Xbox One. If you download the 'basic free version' you will be able to battle against those that purchased the game. It's not clear where the limitation lie between the paid version and free version, but our guess is that the characters and stages will be somewhat limited in the 'basic' version.

The Last Round will contain stages from previous DOA games; Danger Zone from the original Dead or Alive and Crimson from Dead or Alive 2. There is also a new female character that has yet to be revealed.
