Deadpool has been killing it at the box office since its release on Friday, destroying the competition and spanking the former record-holder for the month of February, Fifty Shades of Grey.
In its first weekend, Deadpool pulled an estimated $135 million. On its way to doing so, Deadpool had the biggest opening day ever for an R-rated film.
20th Century Fox's new comic book movie set record highs for both Presidents Day weekend and the month of February, topping Fifty Shades of Grey's previous record of $85.2 million in its debut.
Additionally, Deadpool's opening weekend is now the biggest ever for an R-rating film, outpacing The Matrix Reloaded's $91.8 million debut.
The film brought in an additional $125 million overseas, bringing its total global opening to a whopping $260 million.
Not bad for a movie Fox was hesitant in releasing.
