If you haven't yet seen Deadpool, make sure you stay for the post-credits scene. That is, if you don't mind potential spoilers for the sequel.
Moviegoers who have already seen 20th Century Fox's action flick starring the Merc with a Mouth have not only confirmed the existence of a post-credits scene, but actually revealed what is shown. Or said, rather.
***Warning: Potential Spoilers Below***
Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) and T.J. Miller (Weasel) have already been kicking around ideas for the sequel, but the post-credits sequence of Deadpool — a second one set up to mock the post-credits scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off — seemingly confirm a previous rumor we heard.
Nathan Summers, aka Cable, will appear in Deadpool 2.
Here's how the reveal is made, for those who don't feel like sticking around. Deadpool pops his head back into the frame and asys the following:
"Oh! I can tell you one thing, and it’s a bit of a secret. The sequel? We’re gonna have Cable. Amazing character. Bionic arm, time travel! We have no idea who we’re going to cast yet, but it could be anyone. Just need a big guy with a flat top. Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Kiera Knightly? She’s got range – who knows? Big secret, shhh. Oh, and don’t leave your garbage all lying around. It’s a total dick move. Go! Chica-chica!"
It'll be interesting to see how they weave Cable's rather complex storyline into a Deadpool-centric film, but either way I'm excited to see the two come together on the big screen.
