Death Stranding launches on PC June 2nd via Steam & EGS

505 Games has finally revealed the PC release date for Hideo Kojima’s unconventional PS4 exclusive Death Stranding. According to the publisher, DS is headed to PCs in just three months, on June 2nd. The new trailer even teased Half-Life content in the game alongside technical features and a new photo mode!

Kojima Productions originally launched it’s exotic and outright weird action-adventure game last November exclusively on Sony’s PlayStation 4 but even before that, the developer announced its plans for a PC version. Unlike the console version, the PC port is being published by 505 Games.

From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience. Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the disconnected remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reconnect the shattered world one step at a time.

Now, we thankfully know the exact date which is not that far off but we also get a first look at brand new content that will be available in the PC version. One highlight among these is the addition of a photo mode, that will surely come in handy to capture the gorgeous vast world of Death Stranding. Other – expected – PC features are ultra-wide monitor support that expands well over the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio of most TVs and high frame-rate support. And that’s not taking into account what the modding community will undoubtedly whip in the coming months.
