Death Rally Remake Headed to iPhone and iPad

Remedy Entertainment rose to prominence after developing hit titles such as Max Payne, Max Payne 2, and Alan Wake. Before dabbling with brooding characters, though, the Finnish developer worked on a game called Death Rally. Released in 1996, Death Rally was a racing game at its core, but it implemented several car combat elements such as ballistics use, explosions, and an emphasis on car crashes.

The top-down racer is now being remade for the iPhone and iPad, and although a release date has yet to be announced, Remedy’s website has the game listed as “coming soon”. It is still unknown whether Death Rally for iOS will support multiplayer like the original release.
