Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax gets release date and special edition details

Special Edition soundtrack included

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax was announced back in January through a partnership with Sega and Japanese developers Ecole and French Bread in order to bring the Japanese novels to PlayStation.  Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax is a 2D crossover fighting game featuring popular characters from Japanese novels published under the Dengeki Bunko label and will be available this October both digitally and physcially on PS3 and Vita. The Vita price will be a bit cheaper at $29.99 while the PS3 title will come in at $39.99.

The Dengeki Bunko collection boasts a vast array of beloved characters who lend themselves flawlessly to this highly balanced, easy-to-learn, high-action 2D fighting game. In  Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax players attack, guard, and take damage in order to build their Climax Meter, allowing them to execute moves which recreate highlight scenes from the original novels, even adding specially arranged animations for characters who do not fight in the original works. The game includes characters from numerous Dengeki Bunko works alongside several fan-favorite SEGA characters brought together in SEGA-themed environments.

Dengeki Bunko is set to release on October 6th and will also include a special edition soundtrack featuring many title from artists responsible for the Sonic series, Nights into dreams, Shinobi and other classic Sega games. In order to pick up a copy of the soundtrack you'll need to pre-order the game as only a very few copies will be available at retail.
