Last week, Bungie announced that they would be introducing a new level of difficulty to the Leviathan Raid. The mode, called Prestige Raid, was set to release alongside the Iron Banner event when the weekly reset hits on Tuesday October 10th. Bungie announced today in a community forum post that the Prestige Raid mode will be delayed to next week.
The reason behind the delay is an exploit that “causes the encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge” according to the post. Bungie stated that they need a week to fix this exploit and shared their concern about how this could affect the reputation of the team who earn World First status.
“It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty,” wrote Bungie.
Once the fix is in place, the Leviathan Prestige Raid will launch Wednesday, October 18th at 10 am PT.
