The Crimson Days event is officially set to kick off in Destiny on Tuesday, February 13th and will be active for one week. Crimson Days is centered around the 2v2 Crucible playlist.
The event was described as Bungie as being 2v2 Clash with a “round-based twist.” The closer you stay to your partner in Clash, the faster your abilities recharge. Straying away from your partner will give enemies a waypoint to your location.
“The combat scenario is 2v2 Clash with a round-based twist. We will also be debuting The Burnout, a new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality.”
If you do not have a partner, matchmaking will be offered.
Bungie has detailed that the best way to earn event exclusive items is by participating in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist with a single character. Most rewards will be found within the ‘Crimson Engram.’ These Crimson Engrams are only earnable through gameplay and will not be capped.
This means that you will not be given the option to purchase them.
In order to qualify to receive a Crimson Engram, you will need to reach the level cap (25 for Curse of Osiris owners, 20 for Destiny 2 base owners). Rewards will not be duplicate items unless you’ve already earned all of the Crimson Days items.
Regardless of which activity you choose to participate in during Crimson Days, you will receive an Illuminated Engram and a Crimson Engram when you level up.
There are also five new rewards found exclusively for players who complete the following:
