Yesterday, Bungie launched the massive December update in Destiny, as well as the Weekly Reset featuring new bounties, a new Court of Oryx boss and a new Nightfall. After the update, players started noticing something interesting upon completing the Shield Brothers Nightfall — a Mystery Bag dropped as part of the loot.
What was in this wondrous bag of mystery? An Emote. That's right folks, the Mystery Bag is bringing emotes, and it's more than likely one that you don't own. "Contains one emote from Fall 2015," Bungie's Mystery Bag description reads. "Highly likely to contain an emote not currently owned."
While the description details emotes from Fall 2015 being included, that doesn't mean that emotes from the "Festival of the Lost" are the only ones included — if they are included at all. In fact, most of the emotes that have been found are from the October addition that brought 18 new emotes. This happened around the same time that the purchasable Silver currency was added to the game.
Players have reported finding the Carlton and Batswing. Some players will be happy with an emote as loot, especially if they never spent a dollar on Silver, but those that did choose to spend money might be a bit salty over Bungie's choice to make paid content available to everyone.
