Looking to get players hyped for Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, Activision has released a new trailer featuring quite a few of the game's developers as they discuss the new content.
"We have this really amazing opportunity to build a world that people want to stay in for a really long time and have that conversation with them," says lead designer M.E. Chung. "It's really exciting that this time it's a two-way street. It's not the one-way street that was before."
"We heard loud and clear what players wanted. They wanted more. That's what we've tried to do in The Dark Below, is bring people more," adds project director Jason Jones. Check out the preview above for a look at the new content in The Dark Below.
While there's plenty to be excited about in The Dark Below, there's definitely some skepticism surrounding the expansion. And it's totally understandable given the lackluster experience at launch. Has Bungie really learned from their mistakes and listened to player feedback? Based on recent events and updates/patches, it certainly seems that way. The question is, does a new raid and more multiplayer maps really improve the overall experience?
The Dark Below is set to release on December 9, 2014. It's available for $19.99 or as part of the Destiny Expansion Pass for $34.99.
