Destiny gets title update today, but what does it do?

You may have noticed when logging into Destiny today that a new update is available. Upon logging into the game on PSN or Xbox LIVE, you are prompted with the following message: "Attention: A new Destiny update is available. Please exit Destiny and apply the update."

The message tells you to visit Bungie's help site, but it only shows a similar message there. "Pardon our dust! Destiny is being updated," the message reads. "You will be returned to the title screen to install a title update and will be able to continue playing afterwards."

At this point, it's unclear exactly what the update does, but it can be assumed that it prepares the game for the new raid, Vault of Glasswhich opens at 2:00am Pacific tomorrow, September 16.

We're hoping that Bungie will release official patch notes soon (if any other changes or tweaks were made to the game), and we're praying that it doesn't fix any of these easy farming locations.

The Raid in Destiny is about to begin. Will you be broadcasting your first attempt? We'd love to watch as you enter the Vault of Glass.
