As you're probably aware by now, Bungie hosted today a livestream showing off Destiny's new expansion, House of Wolves.
While there are plenty of questions about the Reef, the new social space coming with the expansion, the biggest seemed to revolve around Xur: Agent of the Nine, the mysterious weekly vendor that pops up every weekend to sell you Exotic goods. Basically, would he appear in the Reef?
Bungie wouldn't confirm yes or no, but did say three things that lead us to believe, yes, Xur will appear in the Reef.
"He'll arrive in a place at a cadence in which you anticipate," Bungie community manager Deej teased. "He'll have a bunch of stuff that you can buy. You can decide to buy that stuff."
When pressed further if he can appear in the Reef, Deej slyly answered "He can do just about anything."
So basically, yes, he can spawn in the Reef.
For those of you not planning on buying the new expansion, fret not, it was revealed that anyone can enter the Reef, regardless of whether or not you actually own House of Wolves. And on the bright side, Xur is no longer the only way to upgrade your Exotics; you can now do that anytime.
