As many of us expected, Bungie's big surprise for Destiny today is a live action trailer that takes us on an action-packed journey across the Solar System.
Whereas most of Destiny's marketing material has been serious in tone, today's trailer has a sort of Guardians of the Galaxy feel to it — a Fireteam blasting their way through the galaxy to the tune of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song." It's definitely not what I expected, but I totally dig it. We need a little more fun in our games.
The trailer also provides a taste of things to come when Destiny releases on September 9, as the team travels to several planets you can expect to see in-game, including Venus, Mars, and some dense forest planet with an eerie hole (similar to the one we've seen in Siberia).
