Destiny of Spirits is a global, free-to-play RPG for PS Vita

Maybe you're having trouble finding someone else who owns a PlayStation Vita so you can play games together. With Destiny of Spirits, that's not a problem.

Today Sony announced that it's releasing Destiny of Spirits for PS Vita on March 25. The title is a social, free-to-play role-playing game that connects you with players around the world.

"Finding friends in Destiny of Spirits is easy," wrote SCEA producer Kumi Yuasa on the PS Blog. "The game will provide you a list of highly compatible players each day based on your daily fortune. So send [a] friend request using the list and make friends all over the world!"

Befriending players in different regions enables you to trade for spirits unique to those locations, as well as other advantages.

Destiny of Spirits will hit North America the same time as other regions. Sony held a closed beta test last October and was able to make improvements to the gameplay and overall speed (shorter loading times and so on).
