Destiny’s beta is live again, this time also for Xbox One and Xbox 360

The Destiny beta is back on! Bungie has finished up maintenance early and has opened back up the beta servers. Only this time Xbox One and Xbox 360 players are able to enjoy Bungie's MMO shooter.

"We know you’ve been waiting, so we busted our asses to finish our chores up early. You can download and play the Beta right now. This is a great moment for the entire Bungie Community to share in this adventure, and we couldn't be more excited. Get in there. Break it," Bungie said in a post on the developer website.

"If you’ve already played, you haven’t seen everything yet," the developer continued, adding that they've still got "some surprises in store." Also, you play on Saturday, July 26th beginning at 2pm PDT, Bungie has a permanent reward "that will commemorate the experience."

If you're playing on PlayStation and already have the beta downloaded, you can begin playing immediately. Otherwise, you can download it after you redeem your key. For Xbox gamers, it's actually a two-stage download, which Bungie joked about on Twitter.

Included in the beta are five story missions, a cooperative strike, and one PvP mode (Control) that can be played on four different maps. You also have free reign to explore The Tower, Destiny's central hub where you can find merchants, armor, and weapons.
