Prior to the holiday break, Destiny developer Bungie promised Guardians that a small stocking stuffer would be delivered. While Bungie suggested that the gifts shouldn't be expected until the holidays have come and gone, I thought they were referring to Christmas. Instead, it now looks like the small gift won't arrive until the New Year.
Taking to Twitter, Bungie community manager David "DeeJ" Dague told fans that the holiday gifts are scheduled to arrive in January.
We dont yet know what the gift will be, but I'm assuming it'll be some sort of temporary cosmetic consumable like the one given out during Halloween. Back in October, Bungie gave players a Jackolyte pumpkin head. When wearing the pumpkin head around Xur, the mysterious weekend vendor, you were able to purchase a special "Flight of Shadows" consumable that changed your Guardian's respawn appearance for 24 hours.
