Destiny’s Iron Banner returning next week as Rift

Bungie announced today Iron Banner will be returning to Destiny next week, but with a slight twist in the game mode. You'll be playing Rift this time around.

Normally Iron Banner is played as Control; however, a successful run with the mode played as Clash (in November) has seemingly led Bungie to wanting to further experiment with different game modes in the special week-long event. Iron Banner returned to normal in December, but that was after a massive update that brought some pretty big weapon tweaks and class balancing changes – especially for Titans.

Iron Banner will return to Destiny on Tuesday, January 26 at 10:00am PST (1:00pm EST) and run for a week, ending on Tuesday, February 2nd at 12:00am PST (3:00am EST).
