Destiny’s true Crucible test begins tomorrow with The Iron Banner

Tomorrow, the "true Crucible test" begins as Bungie will open up The Iron Banner in Destiny.

The week-long event, which begins October 7 and runs through October 14, offers players a different kind of Crucible experience by removing the automatic level balancing that's currently in place. This means the abilities you've unlocked and the gear you've been farming for weeks will finally mean something in PvP.

"Champions are born in battle. Equip your most powerful gear and weapons. Prove your might and earn the respect of the Lords of the Iron. Their emissary waits in the Tower to reward those who excel," the description reads. Rewards for competing in this special Crucible event include Legendary iron Banner Gear, Iron Banner Emblems, Shaders, and Ships. Unfortunately, no specific details have been shared just yet.

For those of you interested in participating in The Iron Banner, but suck at PvP, I suggest you read over my guide: "How to be awesome at PvP in Destiny's Crucible."You might also want to finish up any Queen's Missions you may have as the Queen's Wrath event is scheduled to end today.
