This week, Bungie gave us our first look at new content coming to Destiny in quite a while. It comes in the form of a special Valentines Day-themed event, called "Crimson Days," and it will feature a brand new 2v2 Crucible mode, "Crimson Doubles." But that's not all the developer has planned for early 2016.
In the weekly update, Bungie teased plans to share more about a second, "larger game update," that will arrive "sometime after February."
"There are more stories about 2016 that remain to be told, and you’ll learn more as soon as I get my own anxious hands on the full and final details," community manager David 'Deej" Dague wrote.
Bungie also plans to release more details for the rest of the February update, but will wait until it's "ready to be scrutinized under the spotlight."
"I’m eager to show you what the team is working on. They’re eager to do that as well. As soon as we get the greenlight, we’ll roll it out. In the meantime, Crimson Days is fast approaching. I’ll be back next week with Leif to tell you more about it," Dague said.
Destiny's Iron Banner is also returning next week with Rift as the selected game mode.
