Destiny update 1.2.0.3 to tweak level 35 Prison of Elders, expected next week

Bungie once again teases E3 surprise announcements

Barring any delays, the next update for Destiny — Hot Fix 1.2.0.3 — will release sometime next week during E3. In the latest weekly update, Bungie shared some statistics for the Prison of Elders, Destiny's three-player cooperative arena activity that was introduced with the House of Wovles expansion.

"Twenty-two days ago, Variks invited the Guardians to test themselves in the Prison of Elders. In that time, 378,511 Fireteams have exacted their final victory over Skolas. Many others have tried and failed, and failed, and failed again – only to be sent topside, empty handed," Bungie wrote.

Addressing the notion that many are finding fugitive Skolas "a little frustrating," Bungie promised that "some tweaks" to the Level 35 Challenge encounter "are in testing and on the way." They are expected to arrive with Hot Fix 1.2.0.3 which is scheduled for deployment some time next week.

"The current outlook has it slated for delivery while we’re at E3. Don’t worry, though, someone from Bungie is always in the building, making sure you have what you need to play," Bungie said, also promising patch notes will be posted soon.

In addition to a new update next week, Bungie also appears ready to share some surprising announcements at E3. The developer once again teased plans for a big Destiny announcement at E3, though they shared no details. We're pretty sure it'll be the game's next expansion, rumored to be called The Taken King.
