Destiny Update 2.0 — the massive new patch that officially ushers in "Year Two" of Bungie's online shooter-RPG — is rolling out, and should be available to download on your console shortly.
While we're still awaiting official patch notes (Bungie says they'll be posted shortly), the developer did previously post a preview of what players can expect. The changes previously mentioned are detailed below. Check back in a bit for the full change-log once released.
Today's update arrives one week ahead of Destiny's massive new expansion, The Taken King, which will bring a new narrative-driven campaign storyline for players to experience.
As a reminder, if you're playing Destiny on PS4 or Xbox One, you're going to need around 18GB of free space on your hard drive for the update. Xbox 360 players will need 10GB, while PS3 will need about 20GB to install it (once installed on PS3, you'll only need around 10GB free). For a full breakdown to prepare for Update 2.0, check out our previous post.
