While we don't know what's going on with Konami and Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima, the Japanese Metal Gear Solid website offered some details on Metal Gear Online – the online multiplayer component for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.
Metal Gear Online will have players playing on one of two teams; if you're playing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC you'll have support for up to 16 players a game and if you're on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 you'll only be seeing 12 players.
The gameplay video for Metal Gear Online shows a deathmatch battle filled with traps, parachute abductions, gun turrets and fluffy distractions.
Dat puppy distraction though.
