Details on Final Fantasy XV’s main story length, framerate and Airships revealed

New details for Final Fantasy XV have been revealed by director Hajime Tabata ahead of the March 30th event that promises to give us a release date and other "surprises." According to an interview with NicoNico, game director Hajime Tabata detailed a number of features in Final Fantasy XV, such as gameplay time, airships, graphics and more.

Tabata has detailed that development on the game is going well, though the team has yet to get the game to run at a stable 30 FPS. The developers will continue working on locking down the framerate until the game's release, as well as balancing the content.

On the subject of content, the game will apparently feature even more content than they had originally planned.

The main scenario in Final Fantasy XV will take about 50 hours of gameplay to complete, a 10 hour increase from the previously planned 40 hours and Airships will indeed be featured in the game, along with Cactuars.

Tabata confirmed that the Final Fantasy XV event later this month will give us a release date, a new Japanese trailer and details on the free, playable tech demo.

You can watch the entire interview below (starting at 26:56) — you might want to brush up on your Japanese first:
