With a lot of talk about the future of Xbox and PC gaming with the implementation of DX12 so far, we haven't really seen much in the terms of execution with the technology still in the final stages of development. It looks like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided may in fact be one of the first games we have confirmed DX12 support for when it releases next year.
In a recent interview with Tweaktown, AMD's Chief Gaming Scientist Richard Huddy spoke about the use of their products in different games, specifically Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. He noted that rather than being patched down the line, the game will ship with DX12 support right out of the gate as well as having support for its TressFX Hair 3.0. Of course, with most PC games, benchmark support will be included as well so you can immediately see how much more improvement you are getting opposed to DX11.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launches early next year on February 23rd for both Xbox One and PS4 as well as PC. We also know what Caffeine by Incandescent Imaging will feature DX12 support after our interview with studio lead and creator Dylan Browne when it launches for PC and Xbox One later this year.
