Deus Ex: Mankind Divided World Premiere gameplay demo revealed

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided developer Jean Francois-Dugas stopped by the Twitch booth at E3 2015 today to bring the world premier gameplay demo of the upcoming futuristic Action Role-Playing Game. First Dugas helped set up the gameplay segment with a little narrative context, taking place in a train station in Prague.  Protagonist, Adam Jensen steps off a train in Prague and immediately we get a look at the shape that the world is in.  It is more or less a militarized state, police in heavy armor demand identification and pat down "suspicious looking" people with alarming frequency.  As Jensen makes his way to the interior of the station, a large explosion occurs, and the screen fades to black.

Gameplay picks up showing Jensen going after the leader of the Augemented Rights Coalition, believed to be responsible for the attack on the train station.  The demo proceeds to give a look at all four pillars of the Deus Ex series, stealth, combat, hacking and social.  Several new weapons are revealed including the non-lethal Tesla Gun, which can incapacitate up to four NPC's at a time.

Among the new augmentations are the Icarus Dash, a force jump-like ability that lets the player get vertical in an instant, allowing for quick escapes and streamlined environment exploration.   Hacking has also received an upgrade via remote interaction, allowing the player to create alternate paths in the environment through computer terminals that require no pause menu to complete.

Perhaps most important of all, the developers have promised that you will be able to complete the entire game without killing anyone, bosses included.  Which was one of, if not the loudest criticism about the first game.  Everything about Mankind Divided appears to be improved upon, which certainly bodes well for its future when it releases next year.
