Dev details web-shooters and gameplay for Spider-Man on PS4

Sounds like we will be leveling up some tech.

Sony's E3 2017 conference revealed quite a bit of Spider-Man gameplay, but the real details on the game came afterward. We got a big chunk of information on the Spider-Man game's universe from the creative director, but there are even more details to check out.

In an interview with IGN, Spider-Man creative director Bryan Intihar detailed that the developers are putting quite a bit of focus on making web-slinging and traversal the best mix they can.

“When it comes to traversal, we know this character is identified by his swinging. We want to deliver that, plus deliver things you haven’t seen before. This idea of parkour elements makes it so there are no obstacles in the environment you can’t get around."

Intihar went on to detail that Peter Parker will be using home-built web-slinging devices instead of the organic ones we have become so familiar with, thanks to the Raimi Spider-Man films. It was specified that we won't be 'managing webs' during gameplay, but Peter's 'mastery of technology' will be something we have to worry about.

Spider-Man will release exclusively on PlayStation 4 in 2018.
