Diablo 3's massive patch 2.4.0 has been released, and is now live in the Americas for PC, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Detailed over the past few weeks, the patch introduces a number of new features, including Greyhllow Island. This mysterious forested locale is inhabited with new enemies and "steeped in intrigue." Additionally, two existing zones in the Sanctuary have received new, fully explorable additions, featuring new bounties and events.
"Survive the hunting grounds of the fierce yeti in the Eternal Woods, a new branch of The Ruins of Sescheron zone. The cultists have finally gotten around to clearing up the debris on those stairs in Leoric's Manor, opening up the Royal Quarters for curious treasure hunters."
The update also brings 24 custom-designed set dungeons, each featuring a pre-generated, static course designed entirely around a specific class set.
For those looking for a challenge, there's also Empowered Rifts, granting a fourth opportunity to upgrade a Legendary Gem. You'll need to spend your gold (varied based on the tier of the Greater Lift level attempted) to empower a Greater Rift.
While these are the highlights, there are also tweaks and changes to gameplay, monsters, classes, and items. And also lots and lots of bug fixes. Full patch notes can be found here.
