Contrary to initial reports, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will support Remote Play between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Speaking to GameSpot, lead level designer Matthew Berger confirmed, "As long as PS4 supports Remote Play, Reaper of Souls will support it."
Earlier in the week, Berger had initially stated that Blizzard had no immediate plan to support Remote Play for the PS4 version of Diablo 3. This was due to various UI and experience issues related to the Vita's screen size.
Whatever the case, it now appears Diablo 3 will be playable on your handheld device. Remote Play allows certain console games to be streamed through WiFi to your Vita handheld, essentially freeing up your television. Most PS4 games are said to support the feature.
