While the PlayStation 4 version of Diablo III will run in 1080p natively, the Xbox One's version was believed to only run in 900p. That's still techincally true; the native resolution on the Xbox One is 900p, but a day one patch will help raise it to 1080p.
"The game will be available [in] 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One," Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat told GameSpot. "Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there. We're very happy about that."
The August 19th release of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition marks the debut of the Diablo franchise on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The Ultimate Evil Edition will bring the Reaper of Souls expansion to consoles as well.
When it was released on PC, Reaper of Souls did wonders to help improve the community's opinion of the game. Here's to hoping the console release is just as good.
