DICE on Battlefield 4 launch: We lost [player] trust

It's easy to say that Battlefield 4 had a tough time getting on its feet after it it originally launched last year.

That rough launch frustrated thousands of gamers that were excited to get in on Battlefield 4. After tons of patches stability was brought to the servers, but that doesn't mean that the fans felt any more secure about the game.

DICE's LA producer David Sirland sat down with Gamespot for a retrospective interview on Battlefield 4 and on the launch of future games. In this interview, Sirland admits that DICE lost the trust of players when BF4 launched, but they are looking to redeem themselves and show the players that they are worthy of trust.

The full quote reads as:

"I can absolutely say that we lost [player] trust in the game's launch and the early parts of the year," Sirland said. "We still probably have a lot of players who won't trust us to deliver a stable launch or a stable game. I don't want to say anything because I want to do. I want them to look at what we're doing and what we are going to do and that would be my answer. I think we have to do things to get them to trust us, not say things to get them to trust us. Show by doing."

What do you think of BF4's launch (do you still play)?
