DICE working to fix Battlefield 4 on PS4; possible update coming ‘early next week’

DICE is "aware of" and working on fixes to address the frequent crashes in Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 4.

"We are hard at work identifying these issues and are hoping to get a game update out early next week," the developer said on Battlelog. "Stay tuned for more details as we can confirm them, and thanks for your patience!"

Unfortunately, the majority of GameZone staffers have been playing Battlefield 4 on PC — where it's also suffering from crashes — but it appears the PS4 version is suffering a similar fate. According to numerous reports, Battlefield 4 on PS4 crashes just moments after the game starts, both in singleplayer and multiplayer. PS4Daily previously reported that the game crashes to the home screen with error code "CE-34878-0."

It looks like we're going to have to wait a bit longer for more details, but at least DICE is aware of and acknowledging the issue.
