Did Microsoft just tease Halo 2: Anniversary Edition?

In announcing new PC drivers for the Xbox One controller, Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb may have also teased one of the Microsoft's biggest rumors to date: the existance of Halo 2: Anniversary Edition. Hryb posted a photo today showing the Xbox One controller plugged into a Windows Surface tablet playing, what else, Halo 2.

Whether or not there's more too this remains to be seen, but I found it fascinating that of all games, Hryb would choose this one. Could he be hinting at an E3 announcement next week?

Halo 2 Anniversary has been long-rumored to be coming to the Xbox One. In fact, Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief, told us exclusively that we should look forward to Halo 2 Anniversary this year instead of Halo 5. Steves later retracted his statement, but as it turns out he could be right as Halo 5: Guardians has been confirmed for a 2015 release. Of course, we also have the rumor of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a collection of HD remakes of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4.

So basically, I don't know what to think anymore. It's pretty clear we'll be getting some sort of HD remake or anniversary edition of some kind. We just don't know what it'll be exactly. Microsoft will be hosting its Xbox E3 2014 Media Briefing on Monday, June 9, so hopefully we find out then.
