Did the new Independence Day: Resurgence trailer show off too much?

The Independence Day: Resurgence trailers have been pretty careful of showing too much. They have mainly focused on blowing things up, blips of audio, and showing aliens wrecking the world… At least until the most recent trailer released.

The roughly four minute trailer shows off Liam Hemsworth, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldbloom and plenty of audio from the new president's speech. Of course, a trailer for Independence Day wouldn't be complete without aliens and explosions.

It really feels like the entire movie was shown off in the trailer… So thanks for saving us the money (sad face).

In case you haven't been keeping up with the Resurgence news, Will Smith is totally dead in the sequel. Luckily though, Jeff Goldblum will be reprising his role, along with Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman and Brent Spiner.  Liam Hemsworth will be helping him save world alongside the rest of the cast and the U.S. President (Sela Ward) will hold plenty of speeches.
