I don't care what any of you people say; Diddy Kong Racing was better than Mario Kart 64! Well, maybe it wasn't exactly better, but for me, it was just as good, and I have just as many great memories with that game as I do with the Mario-themed Nintendo 64 kart racer.
One of the things I always loved about Diddy Kong Racing was the music. The themes ranged from quirky to nerve-wracking, and they all fit their respective stages. Ah, such good memories.
It brings me joy to report that Benjamin Briggs of OC ReMix fame has taken five great tracks from Diddy Kong Racing and poured his own style into each of them. Now, I'm not normally a fan of remixes, but after listening to these songs on BandCamp, I have to say I was pretty impressed.
Listen to the tracks yourself and see if you want to download the five-song remix album, which has the snazzy title Bootleg Circuit. You can pay whatever you want for this one, and as a supporter of things I enjoy, I would recommend giving Briggs at least a few coins for his efforts.
