Director George Miller shuts down ‘no more Mad Max’ rumor

George Miller has responded to reports claiming the director said he was done making Mad Max movies, calling them "not true."

Speaking to TheWrap, the Fury Road director defends he was misquoted in a "completely garbled interview" conducted after he was traveling for 27 hours. “She completely got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true," he said.

"I said no, [another ‘Mad Max’ movie] will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another ‘Mad Max.’ It won’t necessarily be next, but I have two more stories," Miller clarified.

Mad Max: Fury Road was released and May and received glowing reviews. The 88th Academy Awards nominees were revealed earlier today, with Fury Road scoring an impressive nominations.
