Dishonored 2 first update to release next week with New Game Plus mode; Details here

Bethesda has announced the first free update for Dishonored 2 and it's packing the heat. The update is set to arrive next week on December 19th and it's bringing a New Game Plus mode with it. The update will be on all platforms (Xbox One, PS4 and PC) and is currently available on PC as a beta.

The New Game Plus mode will be unlocked once you complete the game as either Emily or Corvo on any difficulty level. It will allow you to begin your journey in Dishonored 2 anew with full access to each hero’s set abilities, plus all the Bonecharm Traits and Runes collected from your previous playthrough – regardless of which character you choose.

That's right, it doesn't matter which character you choose in New Game Plus – you'll have all of the abilities at your whim.

In addition to the New Game Plus mode, there will be even more options to customize your gameplay experience – though that update will come in January. The game’s second free update will include two new features: Mission Select and additional Custom Difficulty Settings that will further tailor to your play style and adjust the challenge based on a wide array of settings.
