Dishonored E3 trailer shows off supernatural gameplay

With E3 just a few days away, Bethesda is looking to show off their upcoming first-person action game, Dishonored, early with a new, supernatural gameplay trailer.

What would you do with a drunken whaler?  How about combine supernatural abilities with weapons and gadgets to dispose of him?  In this new trailer you see Corvo, a supernatural assassin driven by revenge, perform a series of brutal attacks under the cover of darkness.

In Dishonored, Corvo is framed for the murder of the beloved Empress and becomes an infamous assassin known only by the disturbing mask he dons.  But in a time of uncertainty, when the city is besieged with plague and ruled by a corrupt government armed with strange technologies, dark forces bestow supernatural abilities upon you.

Dishonored will be available in North America on October 9, 2012 and throughout Europe on October 12.  It is slated for release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.  At this point, details about Dishonored remain vague, but we should get more info come E3 next week.
