Dishonored goes gold!

After more than three years of development and 30-plus versions fo the game, Bethesda's new IP Dishonored has finally gone gold. Bethesda announced the news today on their blog, along with a chance to win an "extremely limited" gold Overseer mask to celebrate the occasion.

For those unfamiliar, Dishonored is a new first-person stealth action adventure game. Set in the industrial city of Dunwall, it follow Corvo Attano, a bodyguard to the Empress who is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin while seeking revenge on those who conspired against him.

Developed by Arkane Studios, Dishonored features a flexible combat system that allows you to combine Corvo's supernatural abilities with technologically advanced weapons and gadgets to creatively eliminate your enemies. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.

Dishonored is due out in slightly over a week on October 9, 2012, in North America and Franche. It will be available in Australia and Spain on October 11, 2012, and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012. It is coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
