This holiday season, we will be getting the sequel to 2012's popular Thief-inspired Stealth action game, Dishonored. It also sounds like Bethesda has big plans on expanding the game's universe across different forms of media, including comics. Starting this summer on August 3rd, Bethesda will release a four part series of comics that takes place 12 years after the first game, culminating in a full graphic novel release on November 29th, 2016.
The comics are written by Gordon Rennie, with artwork from Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo.
Here's an image of the cover for the first comic.
For reference, Dishonored 2 takes place 15 years after the first game, so the comics will serve as a bridge between the two games of sorts. Bethesda is also planning a three part novel series, the first of which, simply called "Dishonored", will release at some point in September, with books 2 and 3 due out in 2017.
Dishonored 2 will launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 11th, 2016 and the developers maintain that they will stay true to their own vision of the game without caving to industry standards.
