The Walt Disney Studio has announced its lineup of film presentations at the upcomign D23 Expo 2013, and perhaps it comes as no surprise that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be present.
On Saturday, August 15, Disney will host a panel "Worlds, Galaxies, and Unvierses: Live Action at The Walt Disney Studios." As the name suggests, the panel will focus on some of Disney's biggest upcoming live-action projects — Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, The Jungle Book, and Alice Through the Looking Glass all included.
"Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm are home to some of the planet’s best storytellers, immersing audiences fully in the world of each film from beginning to end and beyond. In this exclusive Hall D23 presentation, join Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn for a tour of upcoming live-action projects from these legendary film studios," the panel description reads.
While we don't have specifics for what attendees will see, Disney promises "a bevy of special guests will be on hand to offer a look at an unparalleled slate… and much, much more."
Unfortunately, I don't think Disney's plans include a new trailer for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. At the Lucasfilm panel at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this month, it was revealed that the next trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will arrive this Fall. So at D23, expect something similar to what we saw at SDCC: some concept art, guest appearances, and possibly another behind-the-scenes video.
In addition to these films, fans will also be treated to "the biggest Star Wars and Disney video games" to date at D23. This includes never-before-seen gameplay, trailers, new reveals and surprises from some of Disney Interactive's most anticipated games. Already confirmed titles for the special presentation include Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, Electronic Arts' Star Wars Battlefront, and Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts 3.
The D23 Expo will take place Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16. Check out the official website for ticket information.
